Research project wraps up final year
The REMEZCLA collaborative research project, funded by the National Science Foundation, has concluded its four years of planned student programming. The Tech team of researchers who sought to expand Latino student representation in computer science hosted after-school programs and summer camps with partner schools in Gwinnett and DeKalb counties, including Lilburn Middle School and Lakeside High School. Students explored GT campus, were introduced to musical concepts and theory, and learned Python through the web-based digital audio workstation EarSketch.
One of Georgia's Most Influential Latinos

This prestigious award celebrates her contributions to education and instruction, and achievement-focused research. She was honored with the award on September 20 at Truist Park during a luncheon celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month.
